- PRESS RELEASE
ARY Digital has selected LG Electronics to kit out its new studios in Dubai Media City (DMC) with LCD monitors, plasma display panel (PDP) screens, DVDs and VCRs.
"ARY Digital was launched in the UK in December 2000 to cater to the rising demand of a family entertainment channel for the sub-continental viewer residing in Europe," said Salman Iqbal, CEO, ARY Digital.
"With the success of our venture in Europe we have extended our network to Asia and Middle East with studios at DMC and will soon be including North America in our portfolio. With the decision to broadcast from Dubai came the choice to make in the screens and IT monitors we wanted to use throughout the broadcast facility and its offices.
"Technical excellence, stylish design and value for money were all key in the decision to go with LG Electronics. Indeed, LG's PDP screen technology was considered of a far higher quality than any of its competitors."
Cutting-edge LG PDPs will be used in ARY Digital's various studios to display link reports and other media. LG Flatron LCD monitors will be used in the newsroom, edit suites and broadcast monitoring studios.
LG has won numerous independent awards around the world for its Flatron monitor technology and leads a number of markets in the world with its wide range of LCD screens and PDPs.
"Awards and market leadership lend a great deal of credibility to any supplier," said Mr P.C. Choi, President, LG Electronics Gulf FZE. "In addition, LG Electronics seeks to ensure customer delight and its after-sales service policy is second-to-none in the Middle East.
"To align LG with a rapidly emerging brand such as ARY Digital adds kudos to the LG as the first choice across all industries."
LG Electronics' digital display products are already used in the newsrooms of a number of international channels around the world as well as airports, sports facilities, entertainment venues, corporate boardrooms and a host of other installations.
Currently, the LG range of PDP screens is the widest available in the region with 60-inch, 50-inch, 42-inch and 40-inch variations. LG has recently announced plans for major investment for its PDP sector that will take the Korean giant to the forefront of PDP development.
