Dubai Press Club announces media partnership with inaugural edition of 'MyContent 2010'

Dubai Press Club, General Secretariat of the Arab Journalism Award and the Arab Media Forum, today announced its media partnership with the inaugural edition of 'MyContent 2010' exhibition, the leading international entertainment content marketplace in the Middle East and North Africa that opened today in Dubai.
At its stand in Hall 3, Dubai Press Club is showcasing its content-related media projects including the 'Arab Media Outlook', an annual report released in conjunction with PricewaterhouseCoopers. The 'Arab Media Outlook' seeks to scientifically analyse the media sector, forecasting current and future trends, and serving as a reliable source of reference for policy-makers, as well as researchers and students.
Adel Ibrahim, Senior Operations Manager, Dubai Press Club, said, "Our partnership with Index Conferences and Exhibitions comes as part of our efforts to highlight the importance of developing media content in Arabic. During Arab Media Forum 2010, we designated a number of sessions to discuss the challenges in developing Arabic content."
MyContent 2010 has attracted global content producers across all platforms to the region. The event aims to serve as a pre-eminent marketplace for entertainment content providers to showcase and sell content, build and develop relationships, increase awareness, and gain insight into an extremely influential content procuring market.
The event is essentially a marketplace for producing, co-producing, selling, buying and distributing entertainment content. In addition, it provides professionals involved in the TV, film, animation, comics, music, digital content and media content industry with the perfect platform to do business.
Dubai Press Club is the General Secretariat of the Arab Journalism Awards, the region's most coveted recognition for journalistic excellence. Submissions are being accepted in 12 categories for the 10th edition of the annual event. The deadline for submission to the Awards has been set to 29 January, 2011.
The Arab Journalism Awards 2011 will give away a total cash prize of over $220,000 for best works in politics, business, investigative journalism, IT, columnist, culture, sports, environment, photo-journalism, caricature, interview and children's journalism.
