Rotana Hotels adds New Dubai property as growth continues

Rotana Hotels, the steadily emerging leader in the Middle East hospitality sector, announced the planned opening of the Villa Rotana Suites, which will be their seventh property in Dubai.

Owned by the UAE based Al Jallaf family, the Villa Rotana Suites will have 135 rooms, a restaurant and 2 meeting rooms. It will also feature a rooftop swimming pool with an extensive gymnasium and state of the art fitness center. Situated on Sheikh Zayed Road, the property is scheduled to open in 2004 and will compliment the Rihab Rotana Suites and Rimal Rotana Suites, which are also owned by the Al Jallaf family,

In line with the group's strategy to become the 'preferred choice' of travellers to the Middle East, Rotana will be incorporate their signature trademark of warm Arabian hospitality blended with luxury into Villa Rotana Suites. "Regardless of our previous successes we will not become complacent," commented Mr Nasser Al Nowais, Chairman or Rotana Hotels, "Property owners and travellers alike recognise our determination and ability to meet and surpass their expectations. This latest addition is the fruit of our strategy."

With a 40% growth in business over the last 18 months, Rotana now manages 18 properties throughout the Middle East with further expansion planned during this year in Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Qatar. "Our strategic objective is to increase our footprint throughout the region and to have a Rotana property in every major city across the Middle East within the coming five years," stated agreement Mr Selim El Zyr, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rotana Hotels.

Rotana Hotels had earlier announced the signing of a new management agreement for the Hurgada Coral Beach Hotel in Egypt, along with the planned summer 2003 opening of the Damascus Rotana Suites in Syria.
