Sahara Centre, Sharjah's largest shopping and entertainment mall, has been selected by the Sharjah Economic Department to host the official opening ceremony for the first-ever Sharjah Summer Promotion.
"We are proud to be the official host for the opening ceremony of the first ever Sharjah Summer Promotion. It is a great honour for Sahara Centre to work directly with the Sharjah Economic Department to promote Sharjah as a prime shopping destination and we will do all we can to support this fantastic retail initiative," said Abdulrahman Bukhatir, Co-owner of Sahara Centre.
The inaugural ceremony will take place at Sahara Centre on June 18th at 8pm and will be attended by local dignitaries, officials from the Sharjah Economic Department, members of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry as well as representatives from participating malls and retail outlets.
Commenting on this new Sharjah retail initiative, Saeed Salim Bardaan, Director of Economic Relations, Sharjah Economic Department said: "The festival committee greatly appreciates the support which Sahara Centre has shown us, and we look forward to a successful opening ceremony next week. Sahara Centre is the ideal location to launch Sharjah's first annual shopping festival. The centre's excellent in-mall summer programme of value offers and promotional activities for all the family, exemplifies all aspects of what we want Sharjah Summer Promotion to be - a dynamic retail event, which will cater to the shopping and entertainment needs of families and visitors from all over the UAE and beyond."
"Sharjah currently boasts some of the UAE's finest shopping malls. The Sharjah Summer Promotion has been created to promote the Emirate as a prime shopping location to both local and incoming visitors," added Bardaan.
As part of mall's involvement in this annual retail event, Sahara Centre will host a variety of in-mall promotions, offering customers great discounts at selected outlets, the opportunity to win grand raffle prizes, a number of value-added customer offers and a variety of fun activities for kids.
In support of the Sharjah Summer Promotion, Sahara Centre has a host of special entertainment events and in-store promotions lined up. With over 150 stores to choose from, shoppers seeking good deals on their favourite international brands can choose from the huge selection available with discounts of up to 70 per cent on offer. In addition to the great bargains, the mall's celebrated Summer Raffle will offer shoppers an opportunity to win a grand prize of two luxury vehicles. There are also thousands of instant scratch and win prizes to be won.
"We are grateful for the support of the Sharjah government in promoting the shopping mall industry in the emirate and its on-going development as a thriving consumer centre. This new venture will make a positive contribution to the growth of Sharjah's economy and we are pleased with our role in this initiative," Bukhatir concluded.
