One of the UAE's leading property management firms, Asteco Property Management has chosen Comtrust, the e-solutions business unit of Etisalat, to power its new, custom-built property management tool called Estate Man.

The new property management application software, which was built in-house by Asteco over the last two years and draws upon over 20 years experience of the real estate industry, has been created by Asteco to revolutionize its property management business in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and to provide market leading services to landlords.

"Estate Man represents the sum total of Asteco's experience. We believe it will help us to deliver greater service, reduce response times, improve tenant management and provide complete transparency of Asteco's property management business to landlords and tenants alike," said Bobby M. Abraham, Group Financial Controller, Asteco Property Management LLC.

According to Asteco, Estate Man has been designed to manage its entire property management business. "It is a total solution for property and tenant management providing Asteco with a comprehensive overview and as such will form the backbone of our business," said Abraham.

The critical nature of the Estate Man led Asteco to seek a secure, reliable and scalable hosting solution not only for its property management application but for its CRM solution as well.

"To attain the high standards of service performance needed to effectively run our property and customer relationship management tools we went with Comtrust. Its state-of-the-art hosting facilities, its heavy investment in advanced infrastructure and network equipment, and its provision of 24x7 operational support and technical resources coupled with its excellent connectivity makes Comtrust the ideal hosting partner," said Ajith Mathew, IT Administrator, Asteco Property Management LLC.

"Compared to Comtrust's offering, it was just not technically or financially viable to host in-house and with Estate Man playing such an integral role in the day-to-day operation of our business this is something we were not prepared to risk," he concluded.

Comtrust's solution for Asteco goes beyond simple hosting says Ahmad Abdulkarim Julfar, General Manager, Comtrust. "The eHosting mix we have provided to Asteco is the right blend of functionality, security and connectivity. The importance of the applications mean uptime must be assured and the necessary infrastructure and resources on hand to quickly and efficiently deal with any issues, which may arise. Comtrust managed eHosting services provide all this and more as well as the scope for future expansion."

According to Asteco, Estate Man will play a central role in its day-to-day operations, allowing the company to micro manage every aspect of its property management business. Asteco, and it client landlords, are able to access information such as tenancy occupancy, ongoing maintenance, rental payments and scheduled improvements. It is this focus on the landlord, which sets Estate Man apart from other market offerings, says Asteco. The new system enables the company to provide landlords with up-to-date and accurate summaries of the management of their respective properties anytime, anywhere via the web.

Abraham says this latest venture is part of the Asteco's drive to use technology to support its business operations. "We have identified areas of our operations which can benefit form leveraging different technologies. We recently deployed a CRM solution to help enhance our marketing efforts and help better manage our customers and already we have seen a marked increase in sales, which can be directly attributed to this. Now with introduction of Estate Man we expect it to have a similar impact on our property maintenance business. We have and will continue to exploit technology, whenever it can be used to benefit our customers, and our partnerships with companies like Comtrust allow us to do this in the most efficient and cost effective way possible".
