- PRESS RELEASE
Further to their success in implementing the Hamburger University courses in Dubai and adapting them to their local work environments, McDonald's licensees in the Middle East are continuing their commitment to their employees to develop their management skills and talents by offering their store managers the Restaurants Leadership Practice course, one of the most important Hamburger University courses.
"We are proud to execute such major advanced and ongoing courses in Dubai, depending on Arab instructors who have the knowledge and capability to adapt Hamburger University courses to our local markets. It was great achievement and challenge for us, and this gives us confidence to depend on our local expertise," said Mohamed Atwa, Operations Director for McDonald's Middle East.
The Restaurant Leadership Practice course was offered in Dubai for 49 McDonald's employees divided into 2 classes, attending from Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt and India. The one-week course, which was taught by Arab instructors from Egypt, Kuwait and Lebanon, gave the participants the opportunity to work in teams to solve a variety of complex problems, simulating the business environment of a local restaurant. The class reinforced concepts of decision-making, managing the business to positively impact a high performing team. Participants learned how to create processes to improve restaurant operations and develop key skills to lead the restaurant in consistently delivering quality, service, cleanliness and value to each of our customers.
"Management Training Courses help our managers to tackle any situation they may face. In addition to Hamberger University training courses we expose our team in each local market to a series of ongoing training courses that cultivates their attitude and enhances their career in order to best service our customers", Said Rafic Fakih, Managing Director of McDonald's UAE.
