CNBC Arabiya CEO to lead session at World Economic Forum

CNBC Arabiya, the Middle East's first Arabic language 24-hour business information channel, revealed that its Chairman and CEO Zafar Siddiqi will be the facilitator for a key session at the World Economic Forum's meeting in Jordan.

The World Economic Forum will hold a Global Summit of Peace and Reconciliation in Jordan, from 21-23 June. The summit will study ideas on replacing "a period of conflict with the spirit of cooperation." The three-day event will unite global political, business, religious, academic and other leaders in discussions on the future of the Middle East, Iraq, the geopolitical situation, and the prospects for global and regional business.

CNBC Arabiya's Chief Executive will act as facilitator for the session dealing with "Communications and Technology Industry: Creating a Culture of Innovation and Entrepreneurship". The objective of the session is to develop an action plan that promotes a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship necessary to develop the industry. It will also look at what policies governments in the region should adopt and how citizens can gain the skills and training required.

Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al-Thani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Ahmed Maher El Sayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Minister of Defence of the UAE, Miguel Angel Moratinos, Special Representative to the Middle East Peace Process, Council of the EU, Amre Moussa, Secretary-General, League of Arab States.
