  • PRESS RELEASE

IBM Middle East has been presented with both the 'Best Customer Service' and 'Best Infrastructure and Security' award at the Middle East IT Awards 2002 ceremony held in Dubai Saturday at the Burj Al Arab.

The wards are recognition of IBM's relentless commitment to providing the highest level of service and support to its customers across the region and delivering a consistent track record for customer-oriented innovation to fulfil the promise of e-business. The 6th Middle East IT awards ceremony, which is organised annually by Datamatix, recognises the contribution that local and international technology companies make to the region.

"IBM is delighted to receive this award. We truly appreciate the efforts that Datamatix has made in giving end users in the Middle East a voice: the Middle East IT awards let technology providers know what their customers really think. This encourages initiatives that ultimately raise the bar on the products and services available in this region", said Farid Metwaly, general manager, IBM Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan. "The fact that IBM has been nominated by organizations throughout the region from large enterprises to small and medium businesses is extremely rewarding. It is also excellent recognition for the great work of all our business partners in the region over the past year. Gulf Business Machines (GBM) and Saudi Business Machines (SBM), our oldest partners in the region, have shown a remarkable commitment to customer service."
