Rizwan Sajan, chairman of UAE-based Danube Building Materials, has said the firm has set a target of $1bn in revenues by 2015, and it plans to spend Dhs200m for expansion, Gulf News has reported. "For the next two years we are planning to open 15 branches; our investments will be around Dh200m plus on opening the new stores," Sajan said. Danube saw a 25% rise in revenues in 2010 despite the global economic crisis and expects similar growth in 2011, taking its revenues to Dhs1.6bn.
