- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, June 25 - 2003 at 09:09
- PRESS RELEASE
Samsung Electronics, the global leader in digital technology, today announced the launch of its latest mobile phone, the SGH-S200, in Middle East.
Also, as part of its regional marketing strategy to promote the dual colour LCD phone, Samsung has once again signed leading Arabic singing diva, Assala Nasri, as the brand ambassador in Middle East. Under the agreement, the popular singer will endorse and promote the unique mobile phone.
"Mobile phones have increasingly becoming a fashion statement allowing users to express their individuality with a new style," said Mr. D. K. Byeon, President, Samsung Gulf Electronics.
"The SGH-S200 will be setting a new technology benchmark in the region, by providing customers with an enhanced user experience. Our successful association with Ms. Assala Nasri, we are sure, will once again assist Samsung in reinforcing its leadership status in the regional mobile phone industry," Mr. Byeon added.
The SGH-S200 uses a slender design element to sport a "minimalist" look. The phone is created with simple lines, and comes encased in a smooth, velvet-like finish with a two-tone colour style. Furthermore, it is equipped with 40-polyphonic ring tones, a feature prevalent in most Samsung mobile phones, and an option to download additional tones through WAP technology.
The phone is available in a combination of sophisticated dual screen and colour. Its inside screen has 65,000 colours and measures 128 x 144 pixels, while the external screen measures 94 x 64 pixels and displays 256 colours. In addition to this, the phone also offers several cool features such as 12-embedded screen saver images, T9messaging capabilities, personal information management options and choices of four entertaining games, apart from the additional accessories to make it easy to use and truly mobile. The phone can also be synchronised with a PC using EasyGSM software.
