Mott MacDonald to sponsor 2011 Qatar Projects conference

Mott MacDonald has signed up to be one of the main sponsors of the Middle East Economic Digest (MEED) Qatar Projects conference, which takes place on 8 - 9 February 2011 at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Doha, Qatar.

The leading global management, engineering and development consultancy will also be providing a keynote speaker at the event. Paul Looker, director of Mott MacDonald's Middle East transmission and distribution team, will be speaking on Delivering high voltage power infrastructure in a high profile environment, Doha, West Bay Area together with Ahmed Nasser Al Naser from Kahramaa.

MEED's Qatar Projects 2011 conference is the first major event organised in Doha since Qatar's bid to stage the 2022 World Cup was successful. It will look in detail at the key elements of the capital investment plan needed to support hosting the tournament.

Paul Looker said, "We hope to develop and establish some key relationships in Qatar following this conference in what is going to be a hugely important period of time for the country. Mott MacDonald provides essential, multidisciplinary expertise in all aspects of power."
