The senior appointment was been announced by David Wild, DHL UAE General Manager, who describes Walsh as "a committed and outstanding manager who will excel in a role that is a linchpin in our industry."
Walsh, 36, has been in the Emirates three years as Area Operations Manager - Northern Emirates. Prior to this, Walsh worked for DHL for seven years at one of DHL's largest and busiest operations in his native Britain.
Walsh says: "The position is responsible for developing and streamlining the strategic and technical aspects of the UAE's operation, including overseeing the operational side of the business."
A keen footballer, Walsh manages the DHL Dragons who play in the Dubai Expat League.
"We finished mid-table last season, but we're confident of bigger and better things next time out."
