Scala Business Solutions opens Dammam office to unlock eastern Saudi potential

- PRESS RELEASE
The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions spend in the MENA region is projected to rise substantively by more than 17 per cent to AED 810 million (USD 219 million) by the end of 2006, according to IDC MENA (Dubai).
To maintain its market position and move ahead of the competition Scala opened a regional office in Dammam, to tap the dynamic local economy of the eastern province of Saudi Arabia.
"The opening of the Dammam office is part of our strategic client-service plan in the kingdom. An office on the east coast will help us better serve our client base there as well as provide us with a presence to further penetrate the region," said Arif Saif, Sales Manager, Scala Arabia Eastern Province.
Scala is on an aggressive expansion drive, having recently opened an office in the capital Riyadh. The Dammam office will be followed by a third Saudi office which will open in the commercial capital of Jeddah in the western region of the kingdom.
"Initially we wanted to concentrate on establishing our office and operation in Riyadh - a natural entry point into the kingdom for Scala due to its strong market presence in the capital," said Basil Daniells, Indirect Channel Manager, Scala Business Solutions Dubai.
He pointed out that Saudi Arabia is the biggest market within the GCC for ERP products. The kingdom has numerous blue chip companies and large international trading groups which are not only spread throughout the country, but also hold rights to distribute products and services from all over the world. Controlling multiple markets and servicing widespread clients from a single point is becoming increasingly difficult. "This is a problem that our ERP solutions are specially designed to solve."
Scala's Dammam office specialises in sales & marketing, consulting, and hotline and support.
"Recent market analysis indicates that Scala is the preferred ERP vendor after SAP in the kingdom's selective vertical markets, when it comes to manufacturing, service and project management firms along with related distribution-type companies. With the current market perception of Scala, it is one of our key objectives to become the undisputed market leader throughout Saudi Arabia," Daniells stated.
