DAMAS Exhibitions and Conferences announces RAVEX 2002

In a press conference held at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and attended by local and regional press representatives, DAMAS, a regional exhibition and conference organizer announced the upcoming event of RAVEX 2002, an event that focuses on refrigeration, air-conditioning and ventilation industry in the region.

The event that will take place from 14 to 16 of April 2002 in the premises of the General Exhibition Corporation, the most up-to-date and professional exhibition and conference in the Middle East, is considered as the first exhibition that will highlight the importance of this industry and identify the new ways that will allow for a future development.

UAE Air-conditioning and refrigeration industries are poised to reinforce its presence in the world's air conditioning industries, by export markets and becoming the manufacturing center for Japanese and U.S. brands and others. Thus this industry is showing strong growth, with increasing exports to existing markets and penetration into new markets, and with low production costs, and quality high, the sector is shaping up into an important export.

The RAVEX 2002 will feature extensive exposition of finished products including air conditioners, coolers, refrigerators, cold storage system, component parts such as compressors, electric wires, rubber tubes, remote controls suction grills, and industrial tools and equipment.

Meanwhile, the show will also serve as an arena for exchange of technology between local and international industrialists, which will, in turn, help encourager regional manufacturers and exporters to enhance their product quality to increase their competitiveness at the would level.

In his speech to the attendants, Mr. Hussam Hittiny, the Managing Director-Partner, at DAMAS Exhibitions and Conferences said, "Refrigeration, Air-Conditioning and Ventilation represent a fundamental industry that satisfies basic needs in our every day life. The development of such industry is essential especially in this part of the globe where high temperature and intensive humidity are considered as the first opponent for the man's own comfort. We at DAMAS have measured this importance and found the right ways to develop it through RAVEX 2002".

He added "RAVEX 2002 will gather traders and contractors from the region including KSA, Bahrain Oman and UAE. Most of these countries are currently witnessing a massive development especially in their infrastructure sector. Our role at DAMAS urges us to be the leaders in such industrial revolutions."
