DHL Bahrain's, Sean Al-Muftah, is off to an auspicious start in the DHL 'Lord of the Ring Impex Challenge'
- Bahrain: Sunday, July 06 - 2003 at 10:46
- PRESS RELEASE
Sean Al-Muftah, Account Manager for DHL Bahrain, was recently congratulated for his victory in the first round of the 'Lord of the Ring Impex Challenge'.
The "Lord of the Ring Impex Challenge", is an internal DHL initiative aimed at further enhancing the employee commitment to the company and reinforcing the competitive spirit existing within DHL.
DHL's Middle East territory is divided into four "rings" with each ring incorporating different regional countries. All contenders in each ring compete against each other on a monthly basis to determine the final winner of that round, depending on their Import Express sales volumes, within their respective ring. At the end of each monthly round, the results are shared between the regional offices so that all contestants can keep an eye on their rival contenders and assess how much extra effort is needed to challenge their positions and prepare themselves for the subsequent rounds.
"I am delighted to have seen a member of my team succeed in a challenge of such scope and I would like to wish him the best of luck for the forthcoming rounds. I have great confidence in the capabilities of my people and look forward to many future successes" explained Nour Suliman, Country General Manager for DHL Bahrain.
Each month, DHL's "Lord of the Ring Impex Challenge" awards the best "ring" contenders with cash prizes and at the end of the year, the most successful performers in each ring will be awarded the championship title, "Lord of the Ring", and valuable prizes, such as cars and full-expense-paid trips, during a special ceremony. The runners up and the winners in the third and fourth place will also receive significant prizes of great value, depending on their position.
Commenting on the regional "Lord of the Ring Impex Challenge", Ali Sarrafzadeh, DHL Area Commercial Director said, "DHL takes pride in implementing interactive activities that aim to further enhance the commitment of the employees towards the company and reinforce the competitive spirit that is an integral part of DHL's culture."
"We are firm believers that the success of our company lies in the loyalty of its people and through such internal activities we aim to enhance their sense of belongingness within the DHL family" continued Sarrafzadeh.
