Yamaha revs up to Dubai

Al Yousuf Motors today announced that the Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. will stage the Middle Eastern launch of its 2004 line up of ATV's in Dubai from 7-8 July 2003, highlighting the key role the UAE plays in setting regional agendas for the Middle Eastern motor sports market.
"We are very pleased to make Dubai the home of this year's Middle East distributors meeting," said Shigeru Ishikawa, Gulf & Middle East Marketing Manger - Motorcycle, ATV & Power Products, Yamaha Motor Co. "This region is a very important market for Yamaha, with Middle Eastern consumers displaying a great enthusiasm for and knowledge of our ATV's."
Al Yousuf Motors, distributor of Yamaha products to the UAE for 40 years, has reported significant growth in ATV sales across the nation over the past three years and eagerly anticipates the launch of next year's line up of ATV products.
"We are honoured that Yamaha has chosen to base this year's dealer conference in Dubai," said Eqbal Al Yousuf, Vice Chairman, Al Yousuf Group. "We feel that this move is a positive affirmation of Yamaha's success in the UAE to date, and a sign of their confidence in the future potential of our business."
In addition to launching the latest models in the Yamaha line-up, the two-day seminar will discuss market trends for ATV and motorcycle products globally and in the Middle East in addition to safety, servicing, marketing and sales throughout the region. Attendees will also have the opportunity to see the new models put through their paces by a professional factory driver from Japan and to test-ride the machines themselves.
"Yamaha's programme of activity for the 2003 Distributors' Meeting promises some very interesting insights into the future of the ATV and Motorcycle market as well as an opportunity to get 'hands on' with the latest in motoring technology," commented Al Yousuf.
