Travel light with new HP wireless ultraportable Business Notebook nc4000

Delivering up to 7 hours of battery life1, the 2.8-cm thin, travel-friendly HP Compaq nc4000 offers both integrated wireless LAN and Bluetooth technology2 to meet the connectivity needs of today's business traveller. Utilizing an 802.11b, or an 802.11 a/b combo card, both of which will be software upgradeable to support the new 802.11g standard when ratified, the HP Compaq Business Notebook nc4000 delivers secure wireless connections to both current and emerging wireless standards.

An integrated Bluetooth module3 also lets users set up their own wireless Personal Area Network (PAN) to effortlessly synchronize and share their data with other Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as HP iPAQ Pocket PCs, HP mobile printers or Bluetooth-enabled cell phones.

The HP nc4000 has successfully completed extensive interoperability testing with Cisco Aironet wireless LAN infrastructure under the Cisco Compatible Extensions program. HP integrated wireless LAN solutions also feature support for a range of industry-standard security building blocks, including 802.1x secure wireless user authentication and new standards that provide enhanced data protection, such as hardware accelerated Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) support.
