Mr. Al Mutaiwee indicated that The Summer Training Program is integrated within the frame of D.C.C.I.'s interest to develop students' abilities during the summer vacation, by giving them the opportunity to acquire work experience and have a better understanding of the different activities performed by all D.C.C.I's departments. In addition, it would make them aware of the mechanism of the internal procedures, as well as handling the transactions related to visitors, as D.C.C.I. is considered to be a pioneer authority in this aspect as it was honored in the mystery shopper's opinion, and the customer service survey. DCCI won the first place for two sequence year of 2000 and 2001 as was announced by his Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. D.C.C.I. also came in second place in the customer service survey of 2002.

The Director General of D.C.C.I. stressed that the Dubai Chamber ensures maximizing the capabilities of those students, specially the university students who portray quick responses and care to gain knowledge and obtain the necessary experience to go into the work place after graduation.

Therefore, D.C.C.I. is providing those students with the confidence, by assigning them tasks with a higher degree of responsibility, for them to carry out effectively under the immediate supervision of D.C.C.I. staff. D.C.C.I. also benefits from their presence over the summer vacation period, to compensate for DCCI staff on annual leave. In this respect, Al Mutaiwee is assuring that the Summer Training Program is a great opportunity granted to university students, as work experience is considered to be one of the important means to develop and promote human resources.

From her side, Shaikha S. Al Mansouri, the Human Resources Manager at DCCI, assured that the role D.C.C.I. plays goes beyond providing training opportunities for students during summer vacation, as it cooperates with universities in many projects and activities throughout the year, as there is effective close cooperation between DCCI and the different educational institutions in the country. The practical training offered by D.C.C.I. to students provides them with advanced levels, and it is deemed to be as a very important mean of optimal investment for human resources which are the basic fundamentals required for any instant and future development. To emphasize the eternal say of His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan the country President, may God bless him, "man is a wealth who must be taken care of".

Al Mansouri stated also that D.C.C.I. was keen to initiate a two month Summer Training Program for the students, which started on 28th June 2003 and will end on 27th August 2003, where students have been placed in different departments in D.C.C.I. with opportunities for them to move between divisions during their training in order gain a wider more varied experience of the different types of work performed by DCCI's departments.

Al Mansouri added that D.C.C.I. is granting worthy rewards and holding an honoring ceremony for students upon the completion of Summer Training, where certificates of merit are awarded as a sign of appreciation for their exerted efforts.
