Work on the renovation project started this month and will be completed by early December 2003. Over the 6 months the hotel's Rosebuds coffee shop and popular German restaurant, Brauhaus, will be extended and completely re-fitted, together with the addition of a new business centre and hairdressing salons. The project also includes Benihana, the American Japanese restaurant, which will open at the hotel in late December 2003.

Commenting Mr. Omer Kaddouri, General Manager of the Hotel, said "The opening of our new tower wing and outlets last year marked a major turning point for Abu Dhabi's Hotel sector, however the project could not be considered complete without the expansion of the Beach Wing, which has been Rotana's flagship since it first opened in 1993".

The US$ 68 Million expansion project has already resulted in the addition of 186 new sea facing rooms, 6 additional executive floors and 2 Presidential Suites together with a number of new restaurants. The new tower wing was opened in October 2002 followed earlier this year by one of the largest ballrooms and banqueting suites in the country. Already the hotel has received considerable praise for its level of service and facilities.

"With the hotels new sports complex, the beach and garden area, a choice of 10 restaurants and the Shopping Mall beside us, there really is something for everyone, it's the ideal city and conference resort," added Mr. Kaddouri.

The hotel, which joins the Abu Dhabi Trade Center and Mall, is also opening its new entire Beach Club at the beginning of September which will boast a 120meter private beach and kids outdoor play area. The new Beach club will also see the addition of 2 squash courts, tennis courts and temperature controlled swimming pools.

The Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers is the largest hotel complex in Abu Dhabi, and features many exclusive and unique aspects. "Every room features online connectivity, communications and Internet, complimented by exclusive guests amenities," says Mr. Kaddouri, concluding, "We understand our guest mix and took their needs in to consideration early on in the planning."
