The German Competence Village Project is being developed jointly by Al Mutaiwie Investment Group and TecPlan Middle East to host and assist German small and medium size companies interested in expanding their markets, production and services business activities to the United Arab Emirates, the Middle East Region and Internationally.
The hosted German companies based in Dubai will benefit from the wide range of commercial and financial facilities and incentives availed by the Emirate to these enterprises including :
• Low Energy Cost.
• Low Labour Cost, relaxed labour laws and no labour unions.
• Low Land Cost.
• No Income or Corporate Taxes.
• Import Tax Exemption or Raw Materials & Equipments.
• Duty Free Exports to GCC Countries.
• Developed Infrastructure (Ports, Roads, Airports & Others)
• International Banking Standards.
• Low Cost of re-export of finished product.
• International protocols between UAE & other countries.
• Safe and Modern living environment for individuals and families.
• Extensive government support with minimum red tape.
In addition to the above, companies based in Dubai will have the opportunity to expand substantially their market coverage to the UAE, the Middle East and beyond.
Europe and particularly Germany is passing through a difficult economic phase. The economic slow down in Germany is adversely affecting the estimated 3.3 million small and medium size companies in the country.
In the year 2002, a record 40000 companies have declared bankruptcy due mainly to high operating costs, high taxations and lack of sales.
Based in German Competence Village, German small and medium companies will enjoy an ideal business atmosphere to expand their markets and increase their competitive edge globally due to a multitude of real economic and commercial incentives that are offered by Dubai.
Yet, GCV realizes that the above incentives, substantial as it is, are not sufficient to attract the average marketing shy and inexperienced German small and medium size companies.
Hence, GCV intends to offer member companies a comprehensive range of business services that would add value to their businesses and would assist in their marketing and operational activities.
GCV will be based in the Dubai Investment Park premises covering at the initial stage 2 million square meters of prime industrial area with developed infrastructure.
The Village is adjacent to the Jabel Ali Free Zone (the number 13th largest free zone in the world, with one of the largest sea ports in the Region), easy and immediate access to the main highway connecting the Emirates and the rest of the Gulf Countries and within 30-40 minutes drive to both Dubai International Airport and Abu Dhabi Airport consecutively.
GCV will provide comprehensive business services and facilities to enable its member companies to establish their businesses and commence their business activities economically, professionally and in a very short time.
GCV will, in coordination with member companies, provide tailor made professional services and optimal solutions in the fields of :
• Market research Studies and market assessment and strategies.
• Active participation in the marketing and promotion of their product and services.
• Professional Economic Feasibility studies and financial assessments.
• Provide consulting services pertaining to qualified distributors and agents in the region.
• Identification of business opportunities in the UAE and the Region.
• Project development, partnerships, joint ventures and cooperation agreements.
• Identify and develop financing packages.
Simultaneously, GCV will provide at competitive rates the following state of the art working and living facilities within the village to ensure professional, easy, fast, practical and pleasant working and living atmosphere :
• Warehouses (with or without integrated offices).
• Office Spaces (Furnished or Un-furnished).
• Labour Accommodation.
• Senior Staff Accommodations.
• Full Business Services Center.
• Health and Wellness Center.
GCV anticipates that the above facilities and services will cater for almost all expected business requirements of the German small and medium size companies interested in utilizing the German Competence Village as a base for launching their business activities.
