BaPDA discusses cooperation with Tamkeen during high level awareness visit

Following earlier discussions on ways in which the two organisations can work together to create new opportunities, BaPDA invited Tamkeen to acquaint its members through presentations, with Tamkeen's mission, vision and with the various initiatives and schemes it has introduced, with a view to future collaboration and cooperation.

Most important on the agenda was a review of the role that Tamkeen and BaPDA can play together to enhance property development training in Bahrain.

In his opening speech introducing and welcoming the Tamkeen officials, Mr. Aaref Hejres, Chairman of the Board of BaPDA said, "Amongst the many visionary goals with which BaPDA was formed, an important function was to help create within Bahrain and the region a new generation of property developers, establishing a pool of talent to serve local and regional job requirements, while providing employment opportunities for many. In Tamkeen we have a partner with a similar vision and drive. It is important that before we embark together on this task that all BaPDA members know more about Tamkeen and the singular work that this organisation is doing in Bahrain, so that we can work together with greater calibration and understanding. Our unified goal is to train more Bahrainis for the changes that are sweeping the industry and qualify them as professional property developers with the appropriate certification."

Founded in August 2010, the Bahrain Property Development Association (BaPDA) is the first of its kind in Bahrain, and has already initiated, in the short period of its existence, efforts towards forming amicable business ties among the members, and providing a platform for them to communicate with governmental and non governmental agencies thereby increasing the efficiency, productivity and quality of the industry.
