- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, January 23 - 2002 at 11:10
- PRESS RELEASE
UAE Jeep dealers Trading Enterprises and Al Jallaf Trading yesterday announced the opening of the Middle East's first Jeep Off-Road Academy.
The UAE Jeep Off-Road Academy has been launched in conjunction with SNTTA Tours, one the Emirates' leading incentive and conference companies, whose off-road professionals have over 40 years experience in desert driving in the UAE.
Trading Enterprises and Al Jallaf Trading customers who buy a new Jeep will be entitled to a free one-day training course that will give them the basics in off-road driving disciplines. Current owners will be charged a subsidised price of just Dhs 280.
"We have split the comprehensive and educational course into four modules that will give Jeep owners the knowledge to tread lightly and handle their truly off-road capable vehicles in any situation," said Assad Masoud, Manager, SNTTA.
The Know -your-Vehicle module will provide owners with information on the four-wheel-drive systems available on their Jeep vehicles.
Participants will then take the three remaining modules on Dune Driving, Problem Solving and Desert Orientation.
Upon successful completion of the course each participant will receive a certificate.
In addition to the training they will also receive an exclusive UAE Jeep Off-Road Academy T-shirt and baseball cap.
"The UAE Jeep Off-Road Academy is a fun way for Jeep owners to explore the 'do anything, go anywhere' nature of their vehicles and learn more about how to protect the environment while desert driving," said Allan Hardie, General Manager, Al Jallaf Trading, the sole Jeep distributor for the Abu Dhabi Emirate.
