Tamim to drive Mercedes-Benz Middle East Marketing

DaimlerChrysler Middle East has appointed Lebanese/Canadian Ashraf Tamim as Marketing Manager, Mercedes-Benz Car Group, Dubai.
Tamim, 38, who holds a degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University, Ohio, was previously Group Marketing Manager of the Al Fahim Group, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
He began his automotive career in business development with Emirates Motor Company, the Mercedes-Benz general distributor for Abu Dhabi and was subsequently appointed Marketing Manager. He was appointed Group Marketing Manager, with responsibility for the Mercedes-Benz, Jeep, Fiat, Bosch and Michelin brands, in 2001.
"My objective is to ensure that we co-ordinate a planned campaign of regional marketing activities with our general distributors to maximise opportunities for our current and forthcoming range of products to assure drivers that there has never been a better time to get behind the wheel of an award-wining Mercedes-Benz vehicle," said Tamim.
