Autism Awareness Day at Dubai Dolphinarium

Dubai Dolphinarium in association with Dubai Municipality organized an Autism Awareness Day hosting over 600 children from Dubai Autism Centre, Sharjah Special Needs Centre, Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs, Abu Dhabi Special Care Centre, Safe Centre, Sharjah Autism Centre, Child Early Intervention Centre and other organizations across UAE.

Clad in their uniforms children from all centres arrived early in the morning accompanied by their parents and educators. They were entertained by clowns, jugglers and mascots, followed by Live Dolphin and Seal Show later at11am and a puppet show at 12pm.

"Our children one to all enjoyed themselves tremendously, seeing the dolphins and their tricks in the water are an unforgettable experience, those children who are verbal went home and told the parents where they had gone. It is extremely kind of you to think about our children thank you once again. Hope in the future we will be able to visit the wonderful Dolphinarium more often." said Ms. Jameela from Al Noor Special Needs Centre.

"Thank you very much for your kind care towards our center and our children, the Dolphanrium trip was a great fun ,The Children and their families had enjoyed the show and were excited and happy with the water splashes and your beautiful performance. Autism is one of the fast developing developmental disorders and the Month of April is the Autism Awareness month, we believe your contribution had made a great impact on the Children affected by Autism and their parents who find these gestures as great support to their children, as you know it is a long way to recovery and they need support along that way.

On the behalf of Child Early Intervention Medical Center and Child Learning and Enrichment Medical Center we thank the Dubai Dolphinarium for their support to children affected by Autism and their families and wish you all success in all your future events", said Dr. Hibah Co- Founder and Managing Director of the centre.

"The entire team of Special Care Centre would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude for inviting our Students for the event on 28th of April. Our Students thoroughly liked the Dolphin Show and also had a great time dancing with the clowns. The Students enjoyed the items in the snack boxes. The trip to Dubai Dolphinarium was educational and recreational for them", said Ms. Kmar, event manager of Special Care Centre in Abu Dhabi.

"Once again thank you for inviting us and we look forward to the pleasure of collaborating with you in your incoming events."

The purpose of Autism Awareness Day was to raise awareness about autism to help integrate special children in our community. Autism is a fast developing disorder which currently affects every 1 child from 100 children worldwide.
