- PRESS RELEASE
The new Novotel World Trade Centre, Dubai has announced the provision of 6 guest rooms dedicated to special needs visitors, the highest number of fully equipped special needs guest rooms offered in a single hotel in Dubai.
The room facilities, which surpass all other hotels in Dubai, include a widened entrance and rearranged floor plan to allow for barrier free wheelchair access as well as fixtures and fittings that have been lowered to maximize the independence of wheelchairs users in both the bedroom and ensuite bathroom. The shower comes complete with seat, and grip bars and the toilet is adapted with support pads and handrails to make the guest feel at ease. Emergency cords are also provided, with each special needs room being inter-connected with a standard room for carers. The corridor is close to lifts for easy access to the hotel's leisure facilities.
The ACCOR group is already well known in Europe for its partnership with the 2003 European Year of the Disabled. In the Middle East, it is setting a precedent for other hotels, by providing the new Novotel World Trade Centre with superior Special Needs facilities.
General Manager, Ignace Bauwens said, "The Novotel concept is all about making guest's feel at home and this also includes our guests with special needs. We are fortunate to have a comprehensive selection of facilities here, which can be tailored to suit the individual's disabilities and needs. It is important to us that special needs visitors have access to all of the hotel's facilities and receive the same standards of service and comfort."
With 150,000 associates in 140 countries, ACCOR is the European leader and one of the world's largest groups in travel, tourism and corporate services.
