Iraqis buy Jordanian property

Iraqis emerged as the biggest non-Jordanian buyers of local property in the first six months of 2003, according to figures from the Land and Survey Department. Many Iraqis have decided to stay in Jordan due to the chaos in their own country, officials told The Jordan Times. Of 290 non-Jordanian real estate purchases in the first half, 79 were Iraqis.
