- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, January 27 - 2002 at 17:16
- PRESS RELEASE
Paramount Computer Systems (www.pcsuae.com) the first BS-7799 certified IT Company in the Middle East, will host the CISSP and SSCP examinations in the Middle East, conducted by (ISC)2, USA. (www.isc2.org)
(ISC)2 works with several organizations to offer exam and review sessions worldwide.
(ISC)2 provides two levels of certification: CISSP, for information systems [IS] security professionals; and SSCP, for information systems security practitioners.
What is CISSP: The CISSP certification provides independent and objective measure of professional expertise and knowledge within the Information Security industry. The certification is acquired through a combination of three year real world work experience, formal education and reviews of the Common Body of Knowledge (CBK), a comprehensive compendium of the security field developed by (ISC)2. The examination consists of 250 multiple-choice questions.
What is SSCP: The Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) is a comprehensive certification program designed to ensure that the systems security industry is staffed with highly qualified people who adhere to the (ISC)2 code of ethics, have at least one year of experience in a particular security specialty, pass a rigorous certification examination on security concepts and continue to meet ongoing education and re-certification requirements. The examination consists of 125 multiple-choice questions.
The goal of the SSCP certification is to assure organizations that their system vulnerabilities are minimal, attack liabilities are limited, and public confidence remains high. The SSCP certification also benefits the careers of practitioners by confirming to employers a high-level of information security expertise.
Why Choose Certification?
Information security [IS] professionals invest substantially in information assets, including technology, architecture and process. But how can protection of these assets be ensured? Only through the strengths of the professionals in charge. Industry standards, ethics and certification of IS professionals and practitioners becomes critical to ensuring a higher standard for security is achieved.
