Dubai invited to attend the Industrial Partnership Summit in India

The Indian Confederation of Industry, located in Bombay has invited the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry to participate in the meetings of 'Partnership Summit' being held next January, 2004 at Hyderbad.
Patankar also invited DCCI to participate in the Industrial Cooperation Conference between India and G.C.C. countries being held in Bombay on 17th. and 18th February 2004. The Secretariat-General of G.C.C. countries, the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of India and the Indian Confederation of Industry will all cooperate in organizing the conference.
The Indian guest highlighted the importance of forming a common committee for business between Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Indian Confederation of Industry, as well as the memo of mutual understanding expected to be signed in the near future by top-level personnel from the two sides. Pantaker also stressed that the level of bilateral cooperation should be enhanced from communications and meetings, to establishing a permanent agenda for the persistent and continuous conjoint work.
In addition, Patankar made a reference to the importance of the First UAE Commercial Exhibition, which will take place in the International Commercial Center in Bombay from the 21st till the 24th October 2003. The Exhibition is aimed at providing UAE investors and businessmen with the opportunity to become aware of the investment and commercial opportunities available to their counterparts in India in the bilateral commercial, industrial and service sectors.
He also clarified that Indian factories have become highly dependent on Dubai, whilst the Indian economy is increasing and enlarging on one side, and the role of Dubai as an International trade center is being heightened from the other side. Therefore, that the summit as well as other important events will be of great benefit to both sides.
DCCI's advisor welcomed the Indian guest and thanked him for the invitation, assuring at the same time that Dubai will support everything which would reinforce its prestige as an international center of trade and business.
