Experts to provide job and study offers at Kubri EuroArab Career and Education Fair in Munich

On 27 and 28 May, 2011, the EuroArab Centre for Education is organising the first Kubri EuroArab Career and Education Fair at the M.O.C. Event Center in Munich. Besides job offers and internships in or relating to the countries of North Africa and the Middle East (MENA region), the fair will in particular highlight study courses involving Arab universities, among others the Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi (UAE) and the German Jordanian University (Jordan).

• REMENA - Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency for the MENA Region
University of Kassel / Cairo University
Furthermore, the ERASMUS Mundus Programme Gulf Countries of the European Union, will be represented through the University of Deusto (Spain), Sultan Qaboos University (Oman) and Nizwa University (Oman).
"One aim of Kubri is to develop Euro-Arab relations and boost dialogue especially at times of upheaval," commented Norbert Hoffmann, co-organiser of Kubri.
In parallel with the Fair, a high-profile visitor's programme will provide information on Euro-Arab relations. The programme will include events ranging from panel discussions on political, economic and academic developments in the MENA Region to a presentation covering German-Arab business relations by Alexander Tettenborn, Head of Unit for North Africa and the Middle East in the German Federal Ministry of Economics (BMWi).
Not only will European and Arab companies and universities be taking part in Kubri, but in particular the German Academic Exchange Service (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst - DAAD), the German-Arab Friendship Society (Deutsch-Arabische Freundschaftsgesellschaft - DAFG), the Bavarian capital of Munich, STRABAG International GmbH, as well as vbw - Vereinigung der bayerischen Wirtschaft (The Bavarian Business Association).
The opening ceremony for Kubri will take place on 27 May 2011 at 10:00 hrs in Munich's M.O.C. Event Center. Opening speakers are Hep Monatzeder, Mayor of the City of Munich, and Dietrich Wildung, Vice-President of DAFG.
