BA could face bankruptcy

British Airways could follow the Swissair Group and Sabena into bankruptcy if unions prevent managers from cutting costs, ceo Rod Eddington told a UK breakfast TV show. He said the industry is fragile and we do not have a God-given right to survive. The previous weekend's industrial action by BA staff cost the airline tens of millions of pounds, he added.
