During its Quarterly Distributors' Meeting, Yusuf Syed, Regional Manager, USR, unveiled the quarterly results of the company's distribution partners where Tech Data FZ-LLC and Aptec Gulf ranked first and second respectively.
In both quarters of the first half of the year 2003, Tech Data FZ LLC maintained the top notch, followed by Aptec Gulf. Ahmed Al-Azzawi, Business Unit Manager PCs and Networking for Tech Data said:, 'U.S. Robotics brings to the channel a very attractive trading formula: advanced and trusted technology at the right price. Our analogue modem business with U.S.Robotics continued its steady growth, while broadband Internet access technologies and wireless U.S. Robotics product lines have opened up new business opportunities for us as well as the reseller channel alike.'
Sumit Kumar, product manager at Aptec Gulf said: 'U.S.Robotics have managed to level up the technology trading field in the Middle East. A carefully designed product roadmap that fuels Internet connectivity trends in this region, coupled with an understanding of the distribution business and resellers business needs, have all contributed to our commitment to the U.S.Robotics brand. We look forward for the next half of the year.'
Yusuf Syed, regional sales manager for U.S.Robotics said: 'The results that our distribution partners have achieved in the first half of this year show that the industry has reached advanced maturity levels that match more developed markets around the world. Despite the slow start of this year, and the challenges that confronted the technology industry, our UAE-based distribution partners have quickly and efficiently responded to our marketing schemes, and managed to drive the U.S.Robotics business growth to very high and competitive levels.'
