Emirates Airlines hosts GPSSA seminar on social security

The lecture was attended by a large number of UAE national employees and executives from Emirates Airlines and held at the Emirates Training College in Dubai.

A subsequent lecture will be scheduled for the remaining national employees from various departments and will include pilots, engineers and staff working in various administrative and technical fields.

Mr. Al Baqer explained that, 'The main purpose of the seminar is to provide UAE nationals working for Emirates with a clear understanding of the various aspects of GPSSA and the Federal Law for Pensions and social security. We have come a long way since 1999, when we successfully devised a scheme that provides social security services to all UAE nationals working for the private and government sectors in the UAE.'

'The government is constantly working to ensure that UAE citizens are covered against uncertainty of any nature. This will no doubt have a positive impact on their professional performance and social well-being,' Mr. Al Baqer added.

The lecture is part of GPSSA's ongoing efforts aimed at boosting the interaction between various institutions and corporations and enhancing the levels of awareness of the services that the Authority provides.
