USD100m Le Meridien rescue deal

The Le Meridien hotels in the Middle East are part of a USD100m rescue package accepted by its bankers to create a new hotel company, effectively saving most of the group from bankruptcy. However, 11 hotels in the UK are being repossessed by the Royal Bank of Scotland, although this will not affect bookings or day-to-day operations for guests.
