Gargash Enterprises and Dubai Municipality conclude fleet deal estimated at AED 60 million

The Mercedes Conecto o345 City Bus is the latest addition to Dubai's public transport system. With a capacity of 50 persons and over, Dubai Municipality will initially use the new fleet to transport the 14,000 delegates expected to arrive in Dubai during the World Bank Group/IMF Annual Meetings in September.

We are strongly committed to the development of Dubai's public transport system and these Mercedes vehicles are a welcome addition to the Dubai Municipality fleet," pointed out Mr. Khalid Abdulla Khoory, Director of the Transportation Department, Dubai Municipality.

"We are delighted to have been selected to supply Dubai Municipality with these vehicles. The competition was extremely strong, however after due consideration it was decided that the Mercedes Conecto o345 City Bus was the perfect vehicle to meet both the short and long term transportation needs of Dubai Municipality," said Mr. Richard Barber, General Manager of Gargash Enterprises.

Following the World Bank Group/IMF Annual Meetings, the buses will go into general service on normal routes under the administration of the Dubai Transportation Department.
