Jacky's experiences 39 per cent sales growth in first half

The rise is being attributed mainly to the promotions run by the company during this period.

Jacky's first promotion this year ran for the duration of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), during which time the company achieved a 100 per cent increase in sales of LG products in comparison with LG product sales over DSF 2002. Also contributing to Jacky's DSF successes, were the company's promotional partnerships with Citibank and Mashreq Bank.

In April Jacky's launched its longest-ever promotion - the 107-day Cruise Control promotion, which offered shoppers competitive prices and great value on some of the world's leading brands, like Carrier, LG, Samsung, Sanyo, National and Venus, and the opportunity to win fully-paid holidays for two to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, aboard a Star Cruise liner.

"The promotion also contributed to a large extent to our overall sales growth and boosted sales of branded airconditioners, which was the main focus of the promotion. The first half has been an extremely busy period for Jacky's and we expect to sustain this momentum," said Soni Tolani, Executive Director, Jacky's Electronics LLC.

Jacky's holds an average of four promotions a year. This includes its annual Back to School promotion. From August 15 to September 15, Jacky's will be participating in Sahara Centre's Back to School promotion. Jacky's, which was named top electronics retailer at Sahara Centre for 2002, will have a strong presence at the IT promotion. Its presentation has been designed to showcase the leading IT brands it retails at its showrooms in Dubai and Sharjah.

Meanwhile, Jacky's last week concluded the 107-day Cruise Control promotion. Abdullatif Mohammed Marzouki, from the Dubai Department of Economic Development picked the final winners in promotion - brining the total number of winners in the promotion up to 10.
