Wataniya Telecom brings Qu'ranic verses to Kuwaiti mobile users

Wataniya Telecom announced today that it has launched the 'Ayat Al Haq' service to its Action subscribers, bringing Qu'ranic verses with color and audio for the first time in Kuwait to mobile phone users.
"The 'Ayat Al Haq' service is one of most unique services we are providing to our Action subscribers. It directly maps to the lifestyle of the majority of Kuwaitis," said Fuad Al Ablani, Assistant GM, Wataniya Telecom.
Customers will find it easy to subscribe to Wataniya's new 'Ayat Al-Haq' service by simply sending an SMS to 1551 with the message 'SUB Q'. Action subscribers can also go to the 'Funtec' website http://www.wataniya.com/funtec and subscribe to receive up to five Qu'ranic verses per day.
"With Action, we are delivering services and content that people want and can use. We are bringing a whole new experience to mobile users in Kuwait by providing them with advanced multimedia entertainment, information and lifestyle service that uses color, audio, animation and video images," said Al Ablani.
Between 1st August and 1st October 2003, Wataniya post paid and pre-paid "Xpress" customers with GPRS and MMS featured mobiles will be able to access all Action services with unlimited service for a newly introduced promotional price.
