- PRESS RELEASE
Overseeing the communications direction for Le Meridien in Kuwait following its takeover of the Ritz Hotel is Jean Michel Baradei, a Lebanese graduate in hotel management of the Lebanese University in Beirut.
As well as supervising catering at Dubai International Airport, he also worked on projects such as the Dubai Air Show and IDEX, as well as in catering management in Yemen, before moving to Beirut to assist in the opening phase of the Gefinor Rotana hotel as guest relations manager and duty manager.
Relocated back to the Gulf in July 2001, Baradei took over as hospitality and public relations manager for the Al Mawarid group in Kuwait, in charge of marketing for the Ritz Hotel as well as various speciality restaurants.
Under its new management, he will now focus on promoting Le Meridien's brand excellence in Kuwait and establishing a platform for growth to assist in the implementation of its alliance with the A'amal Hotels Company.
This involves five new projects over a period of three years, starting with the renovation and relaunch of the Ritz as Le Meridien Kuwait and the opening of two Art+Tech hotels in the country within two years.
"The dynamism demonstrated by these developments reflects the growth of confidence in Kuwait as a business centre, and I'm delighted to be charged with the initial communications responsibility for Le Meridien's new strategy in the country," said Baradei.
