Dubai invited for First Congress for Business Relationships Between Arab & German-Speaking Enterprises

Abdul Rahman Ghanim Al Mutaiwee, the Director General of Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry received an invitation to attend the First Congress For Business Relationships Between Arab & German-Speaking Enterprises, which will be held in Munich on 17th. October 2003.

This took place when Al Mutaiwee received a delegation from the organizing committee. The delegation included Dr. Afaf Mourad, Modern Arabic School, and Mr. Peter Boiler, MAC Modern Arabic Consulting, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Munich, Germany.

Al Mutaiwee promised to convey the invitation to the Chamber's members, especially to those who are concerned with the issues addressed in the conference agenda.

The conference objective is to investigate the possibilities of developing cooperation between the Arab economic events and their counterparts in the German speaking countries, through a serious dialogue sponsored by the authorities in charge of the Bavarian District in particular and in Germany in general. The congress will be attended by outstanding personalities such as Dr. Rafic Al-Hariri, Prime Minister, Lebanon, the Saudi businessman Prince Al Walid Bin Talal, Dr. Edmund Stoiber, President of Bavaria, Dr. Martin Bartenstein, Austrian Minister of Economic Affairs, Dr. Wolfgang Clement, the German Minister of Economic and Labor, and Dr. Christian Ude, Mayor of the City of Munich.

It has been decided that Arab businessmen and economists together with other personalities of German speaking countries, i.e. Germany, Austria and Switzerland will participate in the abovementioned congress.

The meeting also discussed the project of establishing the German School intended to be opened soon in Dubai, which will be the first of its kind in the U.A.E.

The Director General of DCCI welcomed this news and said: "That school will be considered as an important addition on the educational map of Dubai, just as the American, English and French schools are considered, along with the other community schools, which is suitable to Dubai which is home to more than 100 nationalities living and working on its territory, where all the different cultures are in harmony with each other without discrimination".
