The service, which starts today, is available in four key locations - Bur Dubai (near Port Rashid), Deira (Opposite Dubai Cinema), Sheikh Zayed Road (near Safestway) and in Sharjah (opposite the Home Centre). Plans to extend the service to all Emarat service stations across in Dubai and further emirates thereafter are currently being finalised.
Commenting on the new facility, Mr. Ahmed Bin Brek, Chief Executive Officer, Dubai Bank said: 'We are delighted to be strengthening our relationship with Emarat. This new facility combines flexibility and convenience, together with excellent levels of customer service provided by Emarat employees. Once again Dubai Bank is building on its commitment to offering valued added, customer focused services.'
Commenting on the deal, Mr. Rashid Al Shamsi, General Manager, Emarat, said: 'Dubai Bank is a young dynamic brand and we are proud to be joining forces with them. By offering credit card payment points at key Emarat stations, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, we are confident that we will exceed our customers expectations.'
The partnership with Emarat allows Dubai bank credit cardmembers to visit any of the four service stations and make cash payments on their credit cards. Trained Emarat staff take the credit card and the cash amount to be deposited. They will then swipe the credit card on the POS system, manually enter the amount of cash and then re-enter the amount a second time for confirmation.
The POS machine will print two receipts and the member of staff will then ask the customer to sign one and keep for proof of transaction. The member of staff will then bunch the cash with the corresponding receipt ready for reconciliation.
'The entire process takes a minute or so and is extremely simple. All Emarat staff have undergone training at specially organised workshops and are ready to field any questions and queries first time customers may have,' added Mr. Bin Brek.
The new credit card payment facility is another service where Dubai Bank and Emarat have joined forces. The two companies recently announced the installation of Dubai Bank ATMs at service stations at the Adhed and Muhaisnah sites which will also feature 'Shamil', Emarat's light vehicle testing and registration renewal facilities.
'These two services illustrate our commitment to building an alliance with Emarat. We are proud to have a strong partner and we both look forward to announcing more projects in the near future,' concluded Mr. Bin Brek.
