Clarendon Parker moves into Oman

Dubai Internet City-based Clarendon Parker Middle East has today opened an office in Muscat, Oman, to respond to a growing need for professional recruitment services to be available locally.

Clarendon Parker Oman is the result of a strategic partnership between the recruitment leader and Muscat-based Oman Line Co.

The partnership resulted from Oman Line's own recruitment requirements - it needs a supply of professional staff for its five separate divisions - coupled with the demand for HR and recruitment expertise across the Sultanate. Omanline are successfully operating the only all-Omani outsourced Call Centre in the country, leading the way for all GCC-staffed operations in the region.

"Since our move to Dubai Internet City, Clarendon Parker has gone from strength to strength. The opening of an office in Muscat will further consolidate our presence in the Southern Gulf region. Partnering with Oman Line is a perfect fit, as it is a quality organisation with enormous professionalism and dynamic expansion plans," said Patrick Luby, Managing Director of Clarendon Parker Middle East.

The office has opened today with Muscat-based Omani national staff currently undergoing extensive training at CP Middle East's Dubai Internet City headquarters.

Ali bin Adam Al-Hashimi, Managing Director of Oman Line Co, said: "There is a definite need for a professional HR and recruitment consultancy in Oman. While we have excellent existing training facilities of our own, Clarendon Parker is the only company that could provide the levels of training, service and support that both Oman Line Co. and the market requires. This complements our existing training facilities perfectly"

When Clarendon Parker opened its Internet City offices last year, it was lauded for its use of state-of-the-art technology. This technological leadership will be extended to the Muscat office, with both offices sharing the web-based database and software systems.

"This means when the Muscat office goes live, it will have immediate access to our database of more than 33,000 'live' candidates," said Luby.

CP Oman will have a division dedicated to placing Omanis in employment at home and abroad -especially in the UAE and Qatar, where there is a great need for professional young Arabic speakers.

Clarendon Parker, which has dedicated teams devoted to market sectors which include IT, telecoms, finance, customer services, construction, oil & gas and FMCG, receives between 200-300 applications a day and foresees substantial growth over the next 12 months in the demand for their recruitment and consulting services.
