Sony Broadcast & Professional chosen to provide broadcast solutions for Annual Meetings

SB&P will be working closely with and playing a key role in supporting the Media Committee of Dubai 2003 and UAE Radio and TV by providing them with state-of-the-art acquisition and production equipment that will enable them to record and broadcast the prestigious event - ranging from complete studio systems including Digital Cameras, Digital Vision Switchers, Virtual Studio, Monitors, Digital Betacam VTR's to Editmaster Non-Linear Edit Systems. Sony has already commenced the implementation of its broadcast solutions and is scheduled to complete the installation of the multi-million dollar project in August 2003.

The Dubai 2003 Committee has been appointed by the Government with the objective to ensure that the highest standards of comfort and efficiency are afforded to the delegates and visitors of the annual meeting, which is a world-class forum for the World Bank Group and IMF meetings placing Dubai yet again in the world's media spotlight. And to help achieve this objective SB&P was awarded the contract for the supply of key broadcast facilities by the Media Committee in conjunction with UAE Radio and Dubai TV, the host broadcaster for Dubai 2003.

With over 2,500 media expected to cover this landmark event, the Media Sub-Committee chose SB&P's broadcast solutions for Dubai 2003, due to the high quality products that the company is renowned for coupled with their specific expertise in the field of designing and delivering large broadcast systems.

In addition to SB&P's excellent track record in providing advanced solutions to the broadcast industry, the close working relationship already forged between Dubai TV and local SB&P offices at Dubai Media City, led Dubai TV to feel confident to work with SB&P on such an important and landmark project.

In addition to supplying the extensive broadcast and editing solutions, SB&P will be providing operational and maintenance support to Dubai TV and visiting broadcasters. SB&P will also give Dubai TV system training to enable them to operate the whole setup as one cohesive unit, as well as providing engineering support facilities for those broadcasters bringing their own equipment.
