HP ProCurve Networking completes partner training on its range of High Performance Networking Products

"Several HP channel partner systems engineers from the UAE, Beirut, Doha and Muscat attended this course in early August, to learn how to manage HP ProCurve Networking switches in a realistic environment," said Mr. Ivan Kraemer, Sales & Marketing Director of Middle East, Africa & Mediterranean, ProCurve Networking Business.

"Participants also gained hands on experience in configuring and using HP ProCurve switches and management tools and had the opportunity to analyze case studies of how to apply the course contents to a customer's network," said Mr. Kraemer.

Although most of the participants were partners, some of our end customers attended. Mr. Ali Al-Balushi, a student at the Sultan Qaboos University in Oman, explained that '75% of their network is comprised of HP ProCurve switches and routers,' and expressed his appreciation for the quality of the course and the effective exercises in routing between VLANS and traffic management. Another student at the Sultan Qaboos University, Mr. Khalifa Al-Abri, stated that the Instructor, Mr. Reinald Kruppper of TkI SYSTEME based in Germany, presented a 'clear delivery of the course contents.' This course was central to their interests as it enabled them to 'customize their network as per their requirements,' explained Mr. Al-Balushi.

Before partners can sell HP ProCurve products, they must be certified by completing the HP ProCurve Certification and Course Curriculum. This curriculum consists of a sales track and a technical track.
