Solidere reveals 'Zeytouneh Square' to the public

"Zeytouneh Square" is one of five public squares that are expected to be inaugurated by Solidere in Mina Al Hosn, along the old Shoreline to revive its memory. The opening of "Zeytouneh Square" to the public comes in line with Solidere's strategy to increase the number of public spaces according to the company's master plan; which allocates approximately 50% of the total area to public and green spaces.

Designed by world renowned and awarded Gustafson Porter, which specializes in garden and public space, "Zeytouneh Square" embodies a truly innovative concept. The square benefits from an open set up with no fences; bold black and white paving patterns create a fractal landscape as the contrasting colors interact with the terraces, to accentuate the different levels.

The square also features pools, stone benches, and a stone bridge that leads visitors to the black and white terraces. Each terrace provides a platform of open space for different activities, while the customized lighting system adds to the site's exceptional splendor.
