"Expanding the GPRS coverage from Kuwait city to cover the entire country means our subscribers can now have access to Internet-related services via their mobiles, as well as subscribe to the richest range of MMS and GPRS based services that our Action services deliver," said Fuad Al Ablani, Assistant GM, Wataniya Telecom.

Launched earlier in July by Wataniya, Action delivers the widest range of MMS and GRPS related services to mobile phone users in Kuwait. The service, according to Al Ablani, is receiving incredible interest and uptake from mobile phone users in the country. "With full network coverage across the country, we expect the momentum of usage for Action services to increase dramatically as we continue rolling out at least one new service per week over the next two months," he said.

Action subscribers today can send and receive Photo Messaging (also known as MMS), access Arabic comics, Qu'ranic verses, Blue Mountain Arts e-cards, wallpapers, screensavers, cartoons and horoscopes, compose and send greeting cards and access the Internet as well as their email accounts (from Hotmail to Yahoo and other popular local providers). Action also delivers Kuwait's first movie preview service directly to the handsets, featuring the latest blockbuster movies before they arrive to the Kuwaiti market.
