Offshore Middle East 2013 gains patronage from Minister of Energy and Industry

Offshore Middle East is delighted to announce confirmation of patronage from HE Dr. Mohammed Bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy & Industry for the 2013 conference and exhibition, taking place in Doha, Qatar at the Qatar National Convention Centre on January 21-23, 2013.

The patronage from His Excellency follows in a strong tradition of support from the Ministry for the Offshore Middle East conference and exhibition, having gained such patronage for the previous 2010 event, also held in Doha, Qatar.

Offshore Middle East 2013 will gather over 40 speakers from leading organizations around the world expected to present the very latest knowledge and technology within the oil & gas exploration and production industry, and will for the first time include a Gas Industry Operations track.

"We would like to thank HE Dr. Mohammed Bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy & Industry for his support and patronage for Offshore Middle East 2013. We are confident that Offshore Middle 2013 will provide the best technical forum for the oil and gas market within the Middle East region, continuing on from our successes of 2010. The inclusion of a Gas Industry Operations track is an exciting development and one we feel will provide great interest to all concerned within this sector of the industry," stated David Paganie, Conference Director, Offshore Middle East 2013.

The news of patronage follows on from recent announcements regarding the growing advisory board for the Offshore Middle East 2013 conference, joining Chairman Mubarak A. Al-Hajri, Operations Manager, Offshore Fields, Qatar Petroleum, the advisory board consists of members from such influential local and international organizations as Qatar Petroleum, Saudi Aramco, Total E&P Qatar, Qatar Shell Service Company WLL, Occidental Petroleum of Qatar, Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Co., GDF Suez, ExxonMobil and RasGas.

The Offshore Middle East 2013 advisory board met in May to discuss conference topics which will form the basis of the conference program.

The advisory board has announced the 2013 Call for Papers now open, a cut off date to submit your abstract of 22 November 2011. The full range of topics open to those wishing to submit an abstract and present in front of a diverse international audience is now available at offshoremiddleeast.com.

The Advisory Board also confirmed their next meeting will take place in February 2012, to discuss the abstracts, and with the aim of issuing the preliminary conference program shortly after.
