- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, August 30 - 2003 at 14:26
- PRESS RELEASE
Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry held an honoring ceremony for 19 distinct students who were outstanding in their performance during the summer employment program organized by the Chamber over the last two months.
DCCI is keen to launch that program annually, as it provides an opportunity for students to practice the field training, approach closely the different activities of all DCCI's departments, and be acquainted with the work styles applied internally or the methods used to handle the client transactions.
Eyad Al Kendi the DCCI's Director of Documentation Department assured that the summer employment program helps to activate student abilities, enhance their skillfulness, bringing out their capabilities and adding some knowledge, which they receive in the practical field.
It also - in particular - qualifies university students who will graduate shortly to be ready to encounter field work and be aware of basic rules and principles of work deemed necessary to deal with different sections. In addition to that, dealing directly with other work colleagues and clients is creating the spirit of teamwork and ability of rendering the service practically.
From her side, Shaikha El Mansouri, the DCCI's HR Director, assured that while the Chamber is offering opportunity for training to those students who are committed to the program, it relays on their dedication to cope with work, and it deals with them in the same manner as with regular staff.
DCCI expects that students will succeed efficiently to compensate the absence of any of its employees granted for vacation. Based on that logic, the Chamber believes that summer employment program qualifies the trainees to gain advanced and confident steps towards the work market.
