At the IFA 2003, Samsung created a fully connected digital world that merged electronics devices, contents and networks to showcase the effects of digital convergence together with the company's latest products.

Samsung Electronics unveiled the "Wireless Home Media Center" for seamless connectivity. The company demonstrated home networking using an all-in-one digital home server that can stream diverse format and share contents among IT products (such as a wireless printer and a notebook PC), the TVs and the AV system.

"With the advent of digital convergence technologies we are now talking about creating a new environment that comprises a family of connected devices which can be accessed from anywhere and anytime, across geographic boundaries. First-of-a kind products, such as the world's largest LCD television at 54 inches and the home media server, are some of the products that were used to illustrate how Samsung has expanded technology to offer unprecedented levels of digital entertainment to our regional, as well as global, consumers," said Mr. B. W. Lee, President and CEO, Samsung Middle East and Africa

Samsung Electronics also demonstrated a number of world-firsts, including the largest 54-inch screen LCD TV, the world's first full high definition 70-inch PDP TV, Hypervision DVDP and HDD digital camcorder.

New technologies introduced by Samsung at IFA 2003 include DNIe, DNSe, C-XHT, and NEXUS for digital products that promise to enhance consumers' digital entertainment experience. Samsung also displayed its full range of cutting-edge digital products including TVs, DVD players, home theatre systems, and MP3 players for the European market.
