Samsung launches world's biggest washing machine in Middle East
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, September 03 - 2003 at 15:26
- PRESS RELEASE
Samsung Electronics, the global leader in digital technology, today strengthened its leadership position in the home appliance market with the launch of the world's biggest washing machine at 10-kg capacity.
Available in 6 models (10-kg) and 8 models (7.5kg), the new ergonomically-designed range includes the patented Bigwash 4D (digital detergent dissolving device) feature, has the largest capacity as compared to standard sizes, and requires a washing time of 98 minutes, which is also the shortest required-time in the world, for normal cotton wash programs.
'The launch of the world's biggest washing machine, equipped with the revolutionary Bigwash4D technology, is a breakthrough for the Middle East's home appliance industry," said Mr. Keun S. Yoo, Senior Manager of the Home Appliance division, Samsung Gulf Electronics.
"Faced with the commitment of developing a washing machine that would create a hassle-free laundry experience for users, Samsung dedicated its team of laundry experts to the development of a larger laundry-capacity washing machine. With the launch of the Bigwash 4D, Samsung has now developed a machine that combines Samsung's unique semi-conductor expertise and over 30 years of research in developing world-class washing machines," Mr. Yoo added
The revolutionary 4D system is available throughout Samsung's Bigwash 4D range. The 4D system directs detergents into a chamber where it is quickly dissolved. This concentrated mixture is then sprayed throughout ensuring an even and thorough penetration of detergent for a more effective wash.
Designed with a 10kg and 7.5-kg drum, the washing machines' Bigwash 4D series facilitates washing of more garments in a single wash to lighten the workload, while its minimalist-shaped body can fit easily under a standard counter without protruding from the work surface. One of the key features of the washing machines is the pause option that allows users to stop the washing process and open the door in case they realise that they have forgotten to place a garment in the wash.
Furthermore, the Bigwash 4D comes loaded with shower spinning to drain excess detergent from the clothes to four innovative Bigwash programs for bigger laundry items and an informative digital display enabling quick and accurate adjustments for excellent washing results
"With many more people having busier lifestyles, and having less time to do their weekly wash, the need for a washing machine that reduces the hassle of the wash has never been so great. The new Samsung Bigwash 4D range aims to simply address these problems by shortening the wash time through the application of Samsung's 4D and shower spin technology," Mr. Yoo concluded.
