250 Audi A8's have arrived at Port Rashid, Dubai in preparation to be used as a chauffeur service for VIP delegates of the Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund.
As the brand's flagship model, the A8 uncompromisingly demonstrates the identity of the next generation of Audi models and embodies Audi's claim of "Vorsprung durch Technik": sporting character and clear design, innovative technology and superlative quality.
"Since its launch in the Middle East earlier this year, the new Audi A8 has firmly staked is place as the most exciting addition to the luxury segment the region has ever seen", said Ali Bilaloglu, managing director, Audi Middle East and Egypt. The A8 is designed to offer a powerful, yet luxurious and safe drive, making it the ideal choice of transportation for the world leaders attending the Annual Meetings", he added.
Dubai 2003 General Coordinator Mr. Ibrahim Belselah formally signed the partnership agreement with the Chairman of Audi AG, Dr. Martin Winterkorn at the Paris Motor Show in September 2002.
"We are very fortunate to have such a world class partner in Audi who are supplying 250 brand new A8 limousines to ensure that our VIP participants at the Annual Meetings have quality transportation," explained Mr. Belselah.
Audi's limousine service has been responsible for the luxurious transport of politicians, royalty and business leaders at the most prominent international events across the world. Most recently in Prague, where the brand with the four ring badge was the choice for the NATO Summit and at the event marking the end of Denmark's presidency of the EU on December 12 and 13 in Copenhagen.
From mid September the new Audi A8 will become a regular fixture on the roads of Dubai as they transport VIPs from hotels to the Dubai International Convention Centre and other venues in the city.
