Iran 'to integrate power grid with Europe'

Homayun Ha'eri, the head of the Iranian power generation, transmission and distribution management firm (TAVANIR) has said the country's power grid will integrate with Europe's, Fars news has reported. Europe became interested in the project after an announcement by Iran's deputy energy minister at the beginning of October about the privatisation of the country's electricity sector, he said. He did not specify the technology to be used to connect the two different systems.
